Welcome to the Bayou Boogie O Meet meet home page.
 
What: Orienteering is the sport of cross-country running through unfamiliar terrain with a map and compass. It is a navigation contest with the fun of a treasure hunt. It’s for all ages – adults as well as students.
Three events will be part of the Bayou Boogie O Meet:
  1. A Prologue and Chase on Saturday morning
  2. A Motala on Saturday afternoon
  3. A Classic distance event on Sunday
All the events are being hosted by Channelview HS JROTC and Houston Orienteering Club (HOC). The events occur on Saturday, March 20th and Sunday, March 21st.

Where: The entrance to Chicot State Park is located on FM 3042 approximately eight miles north of the town of Ville Platte, Louisiana. Bunkie is a small town just north of Chicot. Larger cities in the area are Alexandria (45 miles to the north) and Lafayette (50 miles to the south).
